Convent of Jesus and Mary, Ipswich.

The Examiners of the Society of Science Letters and Art held an examination in the school connected with the Convent of Jesus and Mary, Ipswich, in November, and the result has just been made known. Eighteen of the pupils were presented, and it appears that the whole of them passed, six obtaining honour certificates, and the others taking honours in French, music, botany, book-keeping, and the ordinary branches of English. Certificates were also gained for German and drawing. It is not surprising that the examiners should, under the circumstances, report that "the work is highly creditable to the establishment." The following pupils passed : Miss Winefride M. Gough, Miss M. O'Toole, Miss Mary Brogden, Miss Elizabeth G. Gough, Miss E. O'Driscoll, Miss K. Crimmen, Miss M. Challis, Miss M. Collins, Miss M. Price, Miss W. Harrison, Miss Elizabeth Rowney, Miss M. Edwards, Miss A. Mill-Muldary, Miss Agnes Rowney, Miss L. Edwards, Miss Lillie Cuddon, Miss A. Sedgwick, and Miss Ada Cuddon.
