We take privacy issues very seriously. The following policy sets out how we will collect, use, store and retain your personal information.

How do you use cookies?

A cookie is a small file of letters and numbers that is downloaded on to your computer when you visit a website. That sounds sinister, but it’s really not. Cookies are harmless. They’re used by most websites nowadays to do a number of things like remembering your preferences, recording what you have put in your shopping basket, and counting the number of people looking at a website.

We may use cookies when you visit our website to check your registration data and help you avoid having to register again on subsequent visits. We will also use personal data collected by cookies, such as your IP address, to analyse usage trends on the website and to administer it. We use an app called Google Analytics we may also collect cookie data. You can find out more about Google’s privacy policies by visiting: https://www.google.co.uk/intl/en-GB/policies/privacy/

We may use ‘Flash’ cookies to store your preferences for your media player. If we didn’t, you wouldn’t be able to access some video content. If we need you to enable cookies in order to view something like this, we’ll tell you.

You can clear your cookies in your web browser. On some sites this might limit your ability to use certain services online and mean you see more pop-ups and advertising. But you will still be able to view all our content and it won’t affect what advertising you see on our website.

Our advertisers may embed their advertisements on our website, which means they are hosted on their own site. Please be aware that we cannot accept any responsibility for these other websites. We recommend you contact them directly or review their privacy policies on their site before submitting any personal information.

How will you use my personal information?

When you subscribe or order goods from us we collect and use personal information like your name, address and bank details in order to process your order and/or manage your subscription. We only collect the information we need for legitimate purposes, with your permission,

and use it when we have sensible business reasons for doing so. For example, as well as using this information to process your order, we might also use it internally in order to analyse trends and sales figures. We don’t use your personal information in ways you would not expect.

We will always keep your personal information secure and confidential. We make sure we have appropriate security measures in place to protect your information, we don’t share it with or sell or rent it to third parties, and we won’t disclose it to anyone outside of our group of companies without your consent (except for legitimate purposes covered under the Data Protection Act).

We don’t transfer information outside of the European Economic Area, but if we were going to do so we would inform you and tell you why. If necessary, we would seek your permission before we made the transfer. Any information transfer we do make, for example between ourselves and someone processing information on our behalf, will only be undertaken if appropriate security measures are in place.

Subscriptions are managed on our behalf by a data processor. We know they have appropriate data protection policies and procedures in place to protect your information and will only use it for the purposes for which it was collected. If you want to contact them to hear more about their policies and procedures you can:
